What is light tinting?
Headlight and tail light tinting is a great way to give your car, van or motorbike a premium finish. We use a high-quality film - applied to the light lens - to subtly adjust the appearance of your vehicle. Film is a great alternative to light-altering sprays, as it offers a consistent colour finish, a cleaner installation, and is much easier to remove if your change your mind.

At MD Vinyl Services we can install a number of films to tail lights, headlights, indicators and fog lights to take your vehicle to the next level. Speak to our team now for a free quotation.

What are the rules?
Light tinting is legal in the UK, but it's important to know what the rules are. Firstly, the light levels must still be clearly visible (some sources state a minimum 50% light output is required). In addition, the colour of the light output must not change:
-
Red for rear lights
-
Orange for indicators
-
Yellow or white for headlights and front fog lights
As with all modifications you should also inform your insurer.

Choose from a range of finishes
When it comes to headlight and tail light tinting we can install 7 different styles:
-
Super light smoke
-
Light smoke
-
Dark smoke
-
Light smoke with hex pattern
-
Light smoke with holographic hex pattern
-
Dark smoke with hex pattern
-
Yellow (front lights and fogs only)

See our lights in action
It's all well and good telling your about the good light levels visible through the film, but we can go one step further. We spent some time finding a light film that not only looked good, but also allowed plenty of light to shine through. Here, we have our Suzuki Swift demo car fitted with light smoke holo hex film. In day and night conditions you can see that the light output on the left lamp (tinted) is still very good when compared to an un-tinted lamp (lright)
