MD Vinyl Services will not accept any liability for damage caused by doing this.
Vehicle wrapping terms
-
Before agreeing to fully or partially wrap your vehicle we will inspect the condition of your vehicle’s paintwork together. We will inform you of any dents, scratches, rust, peeling etc which may show up through the wrap at the end of the process.
-
Where all or part of your vehicle has been resprayed we recommend waiting at least 3 months for the paint to fully harden before having the wrap applied. If wrap is applied sooner than this damage may occur when it is removed. None OEM paintwork may not be of the same quality as factory standard paintwork.
-
Your car must be washed immediately before bringing it to your wrap fitting appointment. Please do not apply any wax as this will affect the adhesive quality of the wrap.
-
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform the DVLA and their insurance company of any colour changes. We recommend checking with your insurance company how wrap may affect your insurance before any work is carried out.
-
Vinyl wrap has a life of approximately 3 - 10 years depending on the vinyl chosen. Leaving the wrap on for longer than this increases the risk of paintwork damage once it is removed. Arlon lasts for up to 10 years. 3M 2080 lasts for up to 8 years. 3M 1080 and 8900 lasts for up to 6 years. Avery Dennison lasts for up to 12 years.
-
All guarantees are for wrap applied on OEM paintwork that is in good condition. We cannot guarantee good adhesion, lasting results or damage-free removal on other surfaces.
-
We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after your vehicle is wrapped before washing it. This is to ensure maximum adherence is being achieved. We recommend hand washing with non-abrasive detergents and a soft cloth or sponge. Using hot water, brushes, pressure washers or visiting a drive-through car wash could damage the wrap’s surface or cause it to lift from the paintwork. Please be aware that coloured detergents may stain light-coloured wrap.
-
UV exposure and atmospheric pollutants can cause vinyl wrap to discolour or fade. We recommend keeping your vehicle in a garage, in the shade or under a cover when not in use to ensure your wrap stays looking good for as long as possible.
-
When it’s time to remove the wrap we recommend this is done by us or another vehicle graphic expert. If not done with care, paintwork may be damaged. If you do remove the wrap yourself, we recommend heating the area gently with a heat gun or hairdryer first and slowly pulling it at a 15-40 degree angle.
-
We are happy to offer vinyl wrap removal services but cannot guarantee or be held liable for any paintwork damage caused during the removal, especially for vinyl wrap work completed by a third party.

Window tinting terms and conditions
Legal responsibilities
MD Vinyl Services will only install window tints in compliance with UK law. Front windscreen tint must allow 75% of light to pass through and front windows must allow 70% of light through. There are no restrictions on back windows or rear windscreens.
Most windscreens and front windows are tinted to the legal limit from factory, meaning we cannot apply further tint.
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform their insurance company that their widows have been tinted. Even if within legal limits, some insurance companies see this as a modification. We recommended checking with your insurance company how tints may affect your insurance before any work is carried out.

Before bringing your vehicle to be tinted:
-
Please remove any wind deflectors on windows that will be tinted. These need to be removed so we can have proper access to the window. If you don’t remove these before your tinting appointment, we can remove them for you but cannot be held liable for any damage caused.
-
Having a clean vehicle helps reduce possible contamination and makes the installation much more straightforward. It doesn't need to be spotless but excessive dirt or pet hair could make contamination in the tint much worse, even if we do everything possible to prevent it.
-
For rear windscreen tints we require access to the boot. Please remove anything prior to the appointment that may block access or may be damaged by soapy water.

Installation and curing process
After installation, window tint film requires a curing period for the adhesive to fully bond to the glass. This process typically takes 3 to 5 days in warm weather but may take up to 4 weeks or longer in colder or damp conditions.
During the curing period, you may notice:
Cloudiness, haziness, or small water bubbles between the film and the glass. These are normal and will disappear as the moisture evaporates and the film settles.
Slight imperfections, such as dust or minor marks, may be visible due to the nature of the film and glass surface. Pre-existing scratches or flaws in the glass may become more noticeable after tinting.
If you notice any persistent bubbles, haze, or other issues after the curing period, please contact us for inspection.
Aftercare instructions:
-
Do not roll down tinted windows for at least 3–5 days after installation. Premature use may cause the film to peel or bubble.
-
Avoid cleaning the inside of the tinted windows for at least one week after installation to prevent disturbing the adhesive while it sets.
-
Wind deflectors that have been removed prior to tinting can be put back on your car after 7 days.
When cleaning tinted windows:
-
Use only a soft microfiber cloth and a mild soap-and-water solution.
-
Do not use abrasive materials, ammonia-based cleaners, or paper towels, as these can damage the film or cause streaking.
-
Wipe gently from top to bottom to avoid smears and ensure a streak-free finish.
Limitations and disclaimers
The presence of a black ceramic “dot matrix” or frit edge on some vehicle windows may result in a whitish border where the film does not adhere perfectly. This is a common occurrence and does not affect the performance of the tint.
While every effort is made to achieve a flawless finish, some degree of dust contamination or minor imperfections is inherent to the window tinting process.
W
When cleaning rear windows in preparation for tint being applied, it is possible the defroster lines may be removed. We will do our best to prevent this from happening but it is something you should be aware of.
Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle remains compliant with UK window tint laws following installation. Any modifications made by the customer after installation that affect compliance are not the responsibility of our business.

Window tint removal
MD Vinyl Services is happy to offer a window tint removal service. All care will be take to protect your windows but we cannot be held liable for any damage caused.
When removing tint from glass with defroster lines, such as rear windscreens, it is highly likely the defroster lines will come off with the tint. We will do our best to avoid this, but it is something you should expect.
